     Buried at Karrakatta Cemetery, Anglican Section, FC, Grave No 0093. Inscription: Sacred to the memory of John HOle Duffed who departed this life April 5 1859 aged 62 years. 'Surely the bitterness of Death is passed'. Also his grandchildren, the two sons of J.H. Duffield Jnr, the first aged 14 months, the second aged 0? months. 'Except ye be converted and become as little chldren ye shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.' Also of Charlotte (relict of the abvoe) who died Nov 8th 1865 aged 67 years. 'Here we have no continuing city.' Heb 13.11 (or 13.14)

     George Watt arrived in Launceston from Glasgow aboard the "Indiana" on the 24 Apr 1860 with his wife Jane and younger brother Thomas.
He worked as a farm labourer for about 10 years during which time they had six children. They then moved to Victoria where George worked as a railway fettler.
