1881 Census: Elizabeth is now a widow. She is living at 12 Pembroke Street in Middlesborough with sons James - a telegraph clerk, William - a joiner, and Edward an accountant. Also in the same household is daughter Emma, now married to Charles Sutton. Charles is a shipwright. Ref: RG11/4851/105, Page 33

1871 Census: Elizabeth, husband George and children are living in Garden Street, probably not far from Elizabeth's parents, James and Jane Laidler. George's occupation is now given as engineer (rather than sailor). Children born since the 1861 Census are William born 1863 and Edward born 1865. A daughter Emma, born 1854 is also living with the family; she was not present with the family in the 1861 and 1851 census records. All the children were born in Middlesbrough, Durham. It was difficult to locate this entry at ancestry.com because the surname was spelled Milla instead of Miller. Ref: RG10/4892/112, Page 17
